Ladies enjoying themselves March 15, 2005

My_pulse_is_warm_001 Here are the pulse warmers my  mom knit for me.  Aren’t they cute?  I call ’em Dancing Ladies but I think it’s something like "Ladies Enjoying Themselves".  Which is what we did this morning.  My mom, Ann and I had breakfast at Milk and Sugar.  Mmm…waffles!  My mom showed Ann a bit of her continental knitting method.  I tried it the other day and all of my stitches were twisted.  I will give it a try again some time soon.

Anyway…the pulse warmers were knit with Dale Baby Ull in a fab turquoise to match my coat.  And Clapotis.  Am I over the top yet?  The beads were off eBay.  A place I have been shopping lately as I am going to give some  pulse warmers a try too.  Gracie is getting a pair and Cam insisted he needs a pair too.

Gracie was relaying this to Grandma who offered to do "chains".

Gracie heard "change" and Cam said "yea, I want change".

I said "What does she mean, "dollar signs"?

And Cam said, "yea, I want dollar signs".

Kevin thinks it will be the white beaded glove next time.  My mom thinks they are perfect for winter sports–like snow boarding.  They had a fabulous time.  I think Cam is cute.

Tomorrow is my team meeting at Owen’s school.  I am requesting they put him in the integrated preschool in his building a few times a week for short amounts of time (15 min. or so) two or three times a week.  We’ll see…the elementary program has been shut down as of this summer.  So he has only one year left there.  Then he must move on.  If he goes back to our school district, I believe–at the very least–they integrate for lunch and gym.  He needs exposure to typical peers.  I am quite anxious about this meeting as I was shot down with a flat out NO last time I asked in the Fall of 2003.  I don’t want to take no for an answer this time.  Keep your fingers crossed for Owen please.

I love your wristy! It’s very cool with the dancing figures.

I think “Dancing Ladies” would be “Ladies Enjoying Themselves (while eating waffles?),” so you’re in the ballpark. Very cool wristers, I can see why the kids want some!

Definitely crossing fingers for sweet Owen.

I hope the meeting goes well. Years and years of teaching integrated classes – I completely agree with you! Exposure to typaical peers is the best thing (for Owne and the “typicla peers!”) I’m sending positive thoughts!

Your mom is an amazing knitter, Cam and Gracie will make it big in the world with that kind of an attitude =). I love making waffles (and also crepes) for breakfast. I shleped a waffle maker all the way from John Lewis in England where I bought it, because you can’t buy them in Israel.
