I wanted to say thanks for all of the kind words regarding the Locks of Love donation.  I am astounded by how many of us have done it or our daughters have done it.  It’s a wonderful cause.  It was made more special for me as Kevin’s aunt just lost her hair after chemo.  So thank you and good luck to those still growing.  It is such a wonderful thing to do.

I went to the gym today and it felt wonderful.  I remembered how much I actually like the gym.  I am excited to get back into it.  I just did cardio today but I think I will start lifting weights again next week.  Be on the lookout for the buffer me.

Knitting…not a lot going on.  I am slowly working on the baby blanket and some pulse warmers.  Mariajeffbabyblankie Ivoryladiespulse Pewterpulse It’s the perfect knitting for where my mind is at these days…somewhat distracted.

Owen’s school had their annual dinner dance last weekend.  While I wasn’t on the committee, Kevin got roped in to the A/V.  He was gone the whole night.  I bid on a pug again but didn’t get it.  Wah.  Kevin’s company donated the use of their SkyBox for Ringling Brothers this weekend.  He and Gracie will host the event with catering.  The knitting bag wasn’t a big winner last year.  I hope this raised more.

Forgot to mention, the pewter pulse warmer is the Checkers pattern from Caryn.  Thanks for sharing.

Something about the new knitty coming out that always reminds me I am pushing 50. I wish there were an equivalent site for middle aged, slightly doughy knitters like me. I like the lace scarf, and maybe that tie one on thing, but that’s about it.

I really like the pulse warmer. Your stitches look so even – great job.

Aw shucks! I would have bid TONS on the knitting bag. I donated a felted bag last year… didn’t get a big donation. Now I make quick and easy American Girl Doll Ponchos to donate. They get about $25 and are quick and easy. I hope the Circus does well and everyone has a good time. Happy knitting.

A new haircut, a buffer you? What’s going on down there? My daughter has been giving me some not-so-subtle hints that I need to get my butt back to the gym. I always have a good excuse why I can’t, though — REALLY! 😉

I love how your projects kind of go with each other – very harmonious!

I LOVE your blog and I love those wristwarmers…I’ve been putting off knitting with beads, but this may be just the project and I know my daughter would love them…I found your blog via Zeneedle’s blog…take care. (ps…my fiestaware is totally not in order like your friends, but I thought it was cute) 🙂

About the Knitting. WOW, WOW & WOW…I’d really like to try making pulse warmers one day…I used to bead once, so thanks the tip about the pattern.
As for the Gym it’s great you enjoy it, it will make it easier to keep it up. I’m more of a swimmer (that does not swim) type. Though I do enjoy Cardio…right now I just wish I could join a pilates class that would also babysit my son for me.
Meanwhile, I get to work out my arms my lifting him
    one questions: What’s a SkyBox?
