Trying to wrap up some obligatory knitting. This is a Farmhouse Poncho using Encore Chunky. I am knitting it for Rachael, the girl who babysat for the kids during the wedding. She desperately wanted a handknit poncho and we desperately needed a babysitter. Granny swears Rachael got the better deal but she is a sweet girl and I wanted to knit one for her before we bartered the deal. Knit in the round on US 10.5′ needles–it’s going fast enough. It’s not as lovely as Ann’s hand-dyed one but Rachael likes it. Now to decide between fringe or ribbing.
In other knitting news, once I finish up this poncho, I hope to get back to St. Brigid. I have other things I need to knit too–don’t get me started on the pulsewarmers–remember them? There is that Weasley sweater, Kevin’s Dale, a scarf for Gracie, another baby sweater. Not enough time in the day, huh? Although I did have a lovely visit with Ann this afternoon. I dropped off her Better Pal package. I am a Badder Better Pal deliverer. That so does not make sense! Off to knit some more on the poncho. A new front door goes in tomorrow.
