If Margene is sending birthday wishes my way, I feel like I should have a better post up than a whinge about bloglines.

This weekend was terrific.  Work on Saturday.  Dinner out with Kevin on Sat.  A huge lie in on Sunday.  Boomers family park for an autism day with the kids and friends.  Dinner and cake at my mom’s by the pool for my sister and I (our birthdays are 8 days apart).  And a quick look around for a chaise for my bedroom.  A chaise…so indulgent.

I finished a bracelet for my friends fundraiser Take Back the News.  I worked a bit more on the Leaf Lace Shawl–maybe a picture later.  The purl rows are getting very long and a bit boring.  And I like purling!  I also played around with a skein of Fiesta Watermark for the shop.  Still not sure what to do with it.

Happy Birthday, Kathleen! I thought of you this weekend when I was researching birthday party venues (which is a task I am not enjoying at all) for kids and found one where the staff was going to training and they were going to have special programs for children with autism — how cool is that?

    🙂 Kate

Happy, happy birthday, Katy! Did you find a chaise? Yes, so indulgent, but kinda neat…..at least until it gets covered with clothes. That’s what would happen in this house. 🙂

Chaise. Sigh. Swoon. I’ve been dreaming of one for our bedroom, but mine is but a dream. I want to see pics of your new chaise when it arrives! =)

Happy Birthday, Katy!!! Did the chaise come with a fan-operator, grape-peeler, cabana-boy thing?

    Have a great day!

Happy Birthday! I’m a day late but I’m still celebrating you!

  18. Here’s how William said it when he was little:

“HAH-BER-TOO-YOU” (singsong and in his own way).

I LOVED “autism” days or picnics or anything like that where you didn’t have to explain your kid and everyone looked out for everyone else.

Happy Birthday, Katy. Special hugs to you.

I think it’s very kewl to have a birthday with your mom a few days a part, or even on the same day. My mom and I were 6 days apart.
