So little to say September 25, 2006

Filed under: Uncategorized — katy @ 10:47 am

Where does the time go?  I am having a hard time adjusting to the kids returning to school.  Gone are the lazy days of summer and the return of homework and regular bedtimes.  Kevin and I were off to Buffalo this weekend.  His coworker was getting married.  It was a rushed trip–out Niagara20falls early Saturday AM and home by Sunday afternoon.  We did make a quick detour over to Niagara Falls before flying back.  Kevin had never been and I hardly remember the three times I had been.

I brought the Leaf Lace shawl and knit about 5 rows.  I am hoping to have it finished by Rhinebeck but at this rate…I am not optimistic.  My mom plans to wash a sweater for Rhinebeck.  🙂  I have also considered finally finishing Grant Avenue which my mother gave to me a while back.  We’ll see…

I love you Mom, she so has the right idea;)

Gyrid is not too far from the end although I didn’t get as far as I wanted to this weekend. Time seriously got away from me. Plus I couldn’t get up from the couch on Saturday until I finished the sock!

Back to school time sounds so hectic for you, Katy! Good luck with finishing up some items in time for Rhinebeck. Regardless of their statuses, I know you’ll have a great time!

    Oh, I love it… washing a sweater! ; )

I’ve never been to Niagara Falls — looks like it was a beautiful day!

I’ve never been to Niagara Falls. It’s nice that you got away, even if it was a quick trip.

Oh yes! I’d love to see Grant Avenue on you!!

Welcome back! That leaf lace really drags at the end doesn’t it?

I’ve never been to Niagara, either! Sheltered life, me.

I love your mom’s idea. I am going to wash Plain Vanilla, too. I think it should always be in my suitcase, just in case of a plain vanilla emergency. 🙂

I’m so glad you’re going to Rhinebeck. It will be good to see you. Must find some time to catch up and chat.

We spent the weekend in Buffalo a few years back. We went up there specifically to see the falls. I was just thrilled. Great photo… brings back happy memories.

what is Grant Ave? is this a project I completely forgot about? I have a Rhinebeck shawl on the needles too – let’s vow to finish, shall we?

You were in Niagara Falls!?!? Did you come to the Canadian side or did you stay state side? I’m only like an hour from there! Had I known I would have made a day trip to meet you … C’est la vie.

Gorgeous photo, I guess that’s what it lookes like from the US side…I’ve seen it from the Canadian side. Is it a commute distance for you, or did you have to spend the night?

I know what you mean. Our summer seemed pretty busy, but it was downright calm compared to now. I’m going to Rhinebeck too — look forward to meeting you!!
