When last we left the blog, Gracie was suffering through pneumonia.  She is on the mend but missed a week of school.  Sadly, she returned on the day of standardized testing.  Poor thing.  She also missed solo tryouts for the spring concert.  And, unfortunately, her voice is in no shape for singing anyway.  Sigh.

I have been plugging away on the neck down cardi.  It is a huge pile of stockinette.  I have actually passed it off to my mother.  Ann and Granny made fun of me for giving it to her but I have tried to pick up around the neck twice and it looks ugly.  The sleeves and neck look fine.  Just the v neck bit–which is very important.

I also started another Dulaan cardi in some Malabrigo.  Go me.  And, finally, a Flower Basket Shawl.  Granny got a ton of yarn in for spring.  And while I don’t love cotton especially, I am seriously eye balling some of the new yarns.  I don’t have much cotton in the stash.  I am also playing with the new ruffle yarn we got in by Online.  I would link but we got a new laptop and I haven’t figured out how to do it.  We are back to Mac.  And it feels good!

Glad to hear Gracie is on the mend. How can you do standardized testing in March? There is NO way a teacher can cover the year’s work by then – yet the kids are tested in March for the whole year. That question was not directed to you Katie – just a rant on my part – drives me nuts. So sorry she missed the spring concert tryouts. Sounds like you are knitting up a little storm there. Show us what you decide on cottons – I’m not very knowledgeable on them at all.

I’m so jealous that you have a knitter who is genetically (sp?) obligated to assist you when trouble occurs. Think of the disasters that could’ve been avoided…. or fixed.

Glad to hear Gracie is doing better. Sorry she had to return on testing day. What a bummer.

Good to hear Gracie is feeling better, perhaps next year she can audition. I’ve been weighing my options w/ regards to cotton. pg collegue is due in late July…so I think i’ll make a summer outfit which means cotton.

300 is a great movie full of visual effects and graphics which made it different and much better.
Acting was great, director did a wonderful job and chose great actors, full of action, and it is based on a true story.
